How do I care for my candle?

Accepted Answer

Trim wick to 1/4 inch before each burn and allow candle to burn for at least 2-3 hours at a time. This will make the candle burn cleaner, less likely to smoke, and will last much longer. You may snuff out the candle flame with a snuffer (see accessories) or dipper (see accessories) to prevent wick smoke at the end of your Self-Love burn session.

What is your favorite candle?

I absolutely love All the Candles in my product line, especially because they are all-natural and phthalate-free and I bond with each of them when I make them. However, my absolute favorite is Unscented Beeswax. Although it is more difficult to make, the all-natural subtle flowery honey scent always surprises me. Nature can be so beautiful.

How do Reed Diffusers work?

Reed diffusers are another alternative to traditional candles. They work best with a draft. They work by drawing fragrance from the diffuser oil through the reed sticks and into the air and your living space. Once in a while, you may flip the reed sticks for a strong burst of fragrance. However, reed diffusers are a low maintenance fragrance source, they work well just by themselves especially since Hush Candles Reed Diffusers are highly scented too.

Are your products safe for my health?

Yes. As a Pharmacist and mother, safety is always my priority. That is why I choose only all-natural and phthalate free fragrances for my products. Furthermore, to keep the products as clean as possible, I chose to use just a hint of color in the Home & Linen Sprays and NO dyes/color at all in everything else.

How do I used wax-melts?

Accepted Answer

Wax melts are a popular alternative to traditional candles. Melt using a tealight melter or a UL-listed electric warmer. After a few sessions, the fragrance will dissipate and needs to be replaced with a fresh batch of wax melts. To clean up, you may let it harden and then remove it or melt it and soak it up with cotton balls. Do not pour melted wax down your drains, it will only harden and clog your pipes.
